My heart begins racing, I can hear a cancophony of sounds over the sounds of my heart beating. There are louder sounds coming from ahead, but I can barely hear as I feel the blood surging in my veins. My hairs are standing on end as my adrenaline is pumping throughout my body. Should I continue going forward or flee? Fight or flight? Fight is what I say, as I cautiously move move forward to louder sounds ahead.
The crackling of twigs is increasing in sound and well as the crunching of leaves under my feet. I wonder whether the sounds in front of me are in my imagination from the virus inside of me, or whether this is a reality.
