Hello. My name is Andy Sima. You killed my father. Prepare to die.
Nope, wait, sorry, wrong introduction. My name is Andy Sima, and I’m a Teen Writer in Residence for STEM Read. I’m also an Illinois high school student who enjoys writing, reading, spending time with friends, and other typical teenagerly activities. I’m an Eagle Scout and highly interested in science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. You could say I’m STEAM powered.
I got involved with STEM Read after I won their STEMfest Science Fiction Contest. I won a scholarship to NIU’s STEAM summer camp “Preventing the Robopocalypse” and met author Daniel H. Wilson. From there, I continued to write with STEM Read and I’m honored to be their first Teen Writer in Residence.
As a writer, I’d like to continue to hone my craft to one day cut into the jungle of the publishing world. It is a dream I have had since I was young. I hope that it will come true.
